Author? Editor?

Authors can only write posts not pages…if I want to organize my blog in pages how can I get my authors to write pages? Is there ways to get around this?

A blog is not a website which is to say that blog pages are not dynamic. Blog pages are for static content. They do not have category tags assigned to them for search spiders to find. You can have only one running posts page in a blog. This will be helpful to establish a base of understanding as well as for providing instructions http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/11/11/a-post-and-a-page/
Here are alternative ways to treat multiple authors in a blog.
(1) Choose a theme that displays “authors”. There are theme reviews here that you can check to see which themes provide for authors http://engtech.wordpress.com/tools/wordpress/wordpress-theme-reviews/
(2) Or if the theme does not do this then create a category Called “Authors” as a “parent” category and then create sub-categores “children” for each author’s name under the parent Category “Authors”. Every time a post is created the correct sub-category for the author’s name must be assigned to it.
(3) Or have each author include a byline in the posts they create.Have you read the helpful information at these links?
