Author images disappeared

Add topic to favorites
The pictures next to our authors seem to have disappeared. Just wondering what can be done to get them back. They were all G-rate by the way.

Go to appearance > widgets and make sure it is set to display the avatars (pulldown).

Also go to settings > discussion and at the bottom make sure avatar display is set to “show avatars.”

does that take time to become into effect? my settings did have avatars shut off in discussion, but now that i have turned them back on, the pictures remain missing

Did you check the setting on the widget? Go to appearance > widgets, click on the right end of the author widget to open it, and check if on the pulldown it says a size (example 16×16) or whether is says, “no avatars” If it says “no avatars, select a side to show, click save wait 10 seconds or so for it to save and then click “close”.

yes it already has a size chosen.

Remove the author’s widget from the sidebar then move to another page in the admin or somewhere, and then go back and add the widget again.

You’re welcome. Sidebars are cached on the servers so perhaps it just had to wait for the sidebar cache to be updated.
