Author info troubles

  WordPress Version 2.9.2

  So I’ve tried and tried and tried to get the Author info under the picture galleries (under the portfolio tab) to go away and I can’t seem to find the right code. Just when I think I’ve got it, I refresh the site and it’s still there! Can someone offer up some help? Thanks!
