Author invitation

  I have been invited to be an author of a blog but it will not let me accept the invitation. I receive an invitation via email, I select accept and it leads me to my account but I am still not listed as an author.

  It leads you to your account so that you can sign in. The blog will appear on your own account, and that’s how you access it…through your own account log in.

  @catemilson: I’ve had the same problem with many of my client and class sites when it comes to adding an author, so I’d like to be a little more clear and helpful.

  When you are on your blog or account page, go to the upper right top corner of the Admin Bar (the dark colored bar at the top of the page when you are logged into WordPress.com).

  Hover over your name and slide down to choose the site you have been added to.

  Hover over the site title to access it.

  If you do not see the site in your list, the invitation process didn’t work or they removed you from their users list (it happens) after issuing the invitation.
