Author name?

Ok I’m an idiot. How do I make the post author’s name appear in italics next to the title of the post?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Cutline was not designed to show the author’s name in the metadata, and there is no way for us to change that. It would require access to the underlying theme PHP script files, and we do not have that access.
You will either have to put a “byline” at the beginning of each post, or switch to a theme that does show the author’s name in the metadata.

Excellent. Thanks so much. While I have your attention, can I ask another question? How can I make my pictures links (i.e. clicking on the picture opens a new window with a full size rendition of the picture)?
Clearly, I am not savvy when it comes to this stuff. -
Before clicking the “insert into post” button, click the “file URL” button, then click the “insert into post” button. WordPress will remember your last setting (until you change it).
You can also edit the existing images by clicking on the image in the editor, click the “image edit” button in the upper left, change the setting and then click “update” and then click the “update post” button.
