Hi there,
From the link you provided it looks like you are trying to call a static page called ‘vegasknightsoftheroundtable’ that is a child page of ‘author’.
But, when I clicked on your link, it goes to your blog. Can you make sure you are linking to the correct page?
If I got this wrong, please provide more details.
thanks,

It’s a great place to start. We aren’t correcting anything yet. We are still in analysis. We need to see what the link for your author page is. It will be at the top of your page if you go into edit mode.

Thanks @timethief!
Okay @vegasknightsoftheroundtable, now we’re rolling.
I have two suggestions:
- Create a top level page called ‘author’ and put your author content in there. If you don’t want to overload your main menu, make your author page a child of your about page.
- Or, better yet, put your author content in your ‘about’ page. I think this is an easier option and a cleaner option because this site has a full main menu already.

I can clearly see and read this page https://vegasknightsoftheroundtable.wordpress.com/author/vegasknightsoftheroundtable/
I am on Windows 10 running FF51

Okay now here comes another question, whenever I post something how to make sure when someone clicks on my name Ryan Bayer it goes to my Author page?
-
In every post add the following code (using your author link of course instead of my example).
<a href="https://marklchaves.wordpress.com/about/">mark</a>enjoy,
mp.s. i suggest your read-up on html or learn more about how-to create WordPress web pages. https://en.support.wordpress.com/start/

It goes to https://vegasknightsoftheroundtable.wordpress.com/author/vegasknightsoftheroundtable/
not https://vegasknightsoftheroundtable.wordpress.com/author/
How do correct
-
Hi again,
So there is a distinction. WordPress stamps-on a system generated author link when a post is published. I don’t think there is a way to change (customise) this on a WordPress.com hosted site. If there is, maybe someone can chime in.
I saw that your latest post has your name at the bottom with your new author link. That looks great and it might be the best solution for now. Good job!

I am having issues embedding a Facebook video in my post. Below is the link in which I am trying to embed.
<iframe src=”https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FFOX5Vegas%2Fvideos%2F10155042944636672%2F&show_text=1&width=560″ width=”560″ height=”401″ style=”border:none;overflow:hidden” scrolling=”no” frameborder=”0″ allowTransparency=”true”></iframe>
The post I am trying to embed this video is below.
When I go to preview it the video does not show. What does show up is the link to page on Facebook.

Maybe I can provide some helpful information about video embeds.
re: embedding videos
The video embeds in posts and pages that WordPress.com supports for all of our blogs – no upgrade required are found here.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/Accepted Filetypes are here https://en.support.wordpress.com/accepted-filetypes/#video
Video shortcodes are here http://en.support.wordpress.com/shortcodes/#video
Full instructions for adding and playing your own videos can be found on the VideoPress support page. http://support.wordpress.com/videopress/
VideoPress is included with the WordPress.com Premium and WordPress.com Business plans.
As a workaround, keep in mind that you can also upload your media to another service like youtube videos and insert it into your posts from there.
For youtube embedding into wordpress.COM blogs see here https://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/
For using the shortcode see here https://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/#embedding-with-a-shortcode
