Author privileges

I have accepted an invitation to author at http://www.theecotoneexchange.com several times and still receive the following error message.
User maymiehiggins Cannot Access the Dashboard Requested
You are logged in as “maymiehiggins” and do not have the necessary privileges to access the dashboard for “The Ecotone Exchange”. If you are not “maymiehiggins”, please log out, and log back in with your username. If you are “maymiehiggins” and you need access, please ask an administrator of the site to invite you.
Please advise.

Hi Lisa – Do you get that error message when you click the confirmation link in the invitation email you receive? It doesn’t appear you’ve yet confirmed your invitation, so please make sure you’re logged in as maymiehiggins and then go back to the email and click that link. You might need to have the blog owner email you once more.
If you still have the same problem, please let me know.

I don’t have a “confirm” option in the invitation email but there is an “Accept Invitation” option that I am clicking on, which opens a new browser and opens the “Blogs I Follow” screen. There has never been any obvious confirmation of becoming an author either on the WordPress.com site or through an email from it confirming that I am author for The Ecotone Exchange. The blog owner has invited me twice already.
