author tagging?
-
Is there a way for me to ‘tag’ an author for a post.
For example, I want to credit authors for their posts…but I am the one doing the posting/uploading.Is it better to have the author upload and save…and let me post? (I’m the blog owner/proofreader/editor)
thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I don’t know if there is a better exactly.
One way is for the author’s to add their own credit line at the end of each post and then you tag too?

If you have each author with an account allowed to contribute to your blog you can change the author on the post if you are admin (maybe editor also but I an not sure)
I help a friend with their blog and when they email in a Post it gets credited to me – so I just go in and change the author to them.
You could also have a Category or Tag for each Author and group that way. With the new Custom Menu you should be able to sort by Category (author) and have the authors listed on the top or the sidebar.

auxclass – how do I change change an author on the post?
I am the admin…and tehre will be many contirbutors (but I want to be able to edit and dot eh actual posting…while giving them credit as ‘the author’) -
Go to the Post in question and bring it up in the editor.
Then page down to almost the bottom and you should see and “Author” area – Caution – you must have at least two people that can contribute to your blog for that area to show up – I just looked on two different blogs – the one with more than one author (Admin / Editor) has the “Authors” option – the blog with only one Author (Admin) don’t show that option.

There’s a simpler way.
Just make each author name a category. Then in your category widget, you can even have a hierarchy: Authors with the individual names as sub-categories. Put that in a text widget so people can click to read the whole category from their fave author.
