  Yes, this is possible with CSS via the Premium and Business Plans

  http://wordpress.com/plans

  Here is the snippet you can use if you decide to purchase the plan:

  .entry-meta a, .entry-footer a, .entry-meta .svg-icon, .entry-footer .svg-icon  {
      display: none;
