author views misleading

    I am checking my daily stats and the author views are misleading because it says I have viewed some of my blog posts when I didn’t. For example, the author views says I have viewed Hidden Gem @miss peppercorn 5 times today when I viewed it only once. It then said I viewed another blog post when I didn’t. Are other people experiencing this?

    Hi there,

    The author views don’t indicate how many time you viewed it. It indicates how many times posts for each author on your site have been viewed. In other words, if someone else views a post where you are the author, it will add one view under your author stat.

    If your site is set to public your own views while logged in are not counted at all.
