Author website, hints needed, please.

  Trying to figure this out. Can’t get it to work right.

  I’m a speaker and author, and want posts/pages/whatevers to reflect writing and speaking engagements.

  The idea is someone can come to my page, and browse around what I’ve published so far and what speaking engagements I’ve done.

  Was playing with the rebalance theme, which I think wanted to use portfolio items, but I can’t seem to get that to work right. And it seems portfolio is more interested in photography than posts about published works, or speaking engagements.

  Should I be focused on a theme that features blog posts? Pages? Portfolio projects?

  Hints/suggestions, please.

  Hi @jamesseddonauthor.wordpress.com, I’d use blog posts and organize them by category — even Speaking Engagements if you don’t want to get more specific.

  Then you could either just include a link to that category, or you could list posts within that category with just the titles (as one friend did here). Any preferences there?
