Authorize net plug in

My problem is that I never had hold on orders they would process immediatly. also customers never had to open an account . So do I just cancel and hope that customers reorder or can I get them processed someway also why do they now say hold when it never did is there something that should be checked off and lastly how do I update to new version of authorize when it says can not be updated automatically
