Authors accept e mainvitations, but are not added as new users?

I’ve been trying to invite users to the following blogs – but it’s not working. One blog is in English and the other is in Welsh.

http://gwelog.hijinx.org.ukEvery time the recipient receives the email invitation successfully but when they click the blue Accept Invitation button, they are not added.
I have tried seemingly everything – resending the invitations, copying and pasting the link instead of clicking the blue button, being logged out/logged in when clicking/pasting.
I’m a regular user of .com and org. Please help!
