Authors are getting randomly disconnected from WordPress.com stats

We’ve used WordPress.com stats for several years now, and this has only recently been a problem. A few of our authors are getting disconnected on a daily basis through Jetpack. Have no idea what’s wrong here, but for whatever reason, they are not staying connected.

It looks like this is a self-hosted site, so our support in this instance is limited.
Just to check, do these authors have WordPress.com accounts?
It sounds like there could be plugin causing that to be disconnected? Is there anything needing an update, or has been updating recently?
