Authors' gravitars or names are not displaying next to their posts.

In blogs I’ve used in the past, each post automatically included the individual author’s name. (I use these blogs for a course, so this is really useful.) On this blog, however, no names or gravitars are attached to the posts, and I can’t figure out how to turn this on. Do I need to choose a different theme? If so, can you suggest a few which support this option?

I just switched the Default Avatar to be the Gravatar in your Discussion Settings. You should now see all the Gravatar images of your contributors on your homepage now, the ones showing the Gravatar logo haven’t uploaded a personalized image yet.

I’m sorry, but I was unclear. Thanks for your adjustment, but my concern is that the individual posts don’t indicate who wrote them. That is, I can see and read individual posts, but there is no indication of who wrote the post. When authors write comments, their gravitar appears next to the comment, which allows me to identify writers of comments. I need to identify writers of posts with a name or gravitar in the same way. Maybe I chose a theme that doesn’t do this? Thanks for any further help you can give.

Yes, it appears that Almost Spring does not allow for the Gravatar to appear on the front page.
One theme you may want to take a look at is our P2 Theme:
http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/p2/We actually use P2 quite a bit within WordPress. It’s a great theme for multi-user blogs that allows updates in real time. Additionally, if you remember the themes you’ve used in the past, you may want to look into activating those for your current blog.
