Auto-allowing linking to my blog posts for myself

When I reference another post, I made within a new post I have just published/edited, I get the prompt about accepting linking to that post. Accepting linking to that post… from myself? It’s a bit daft. I’m supposed to give myself permission to link to my own post? I’m the sole writer of my blog.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, what you’re describing is a pingback. Pingbacks can be useful for pointing readers to content relating to the post you’ve just published. For people landing on your older content, they’ll see a note in the comment section referencing the new post.

    Here’s more on that

A pingback is a special type of comment created when you link to another blog post, as long as the other blog accepts pingback. How to create a pingback To create a pingback, create a link (i.e., clickable text) to another WordPress blog post from within a blog post or a page on your own site. If that post has pingbacks enabled, the blog owner will see a pingback appear in their comments

TBH, I’m not aware that it’s possible to automatically approve pingbacks that you’ve created.
