Auto approve ping back request???

    I’m on free WordPress and wondered if you could default auto approve ping back requests. Whenever I link a post to an old post, WordPress sends me an email to request ping back approval. Sometimes I don’t see this email -does that mean if someone clicks the link, it won’t work?
