Auto Copy and Link Posting

  Between my local copy of WP and my WP-hosted site, I’ve always had an issue with posting links into the editor. If I have text in the editor, go to another page and copy a link, come back and highlight the text then try to hyperlink it, the pasted content is the highlighted text instead of the copied link. I know the culprit is my Auto Copy extension. It is a difficult extension to live without, but so is hyperlinking in a blog post. Fortunately, one click disables Auto Copy, but switching back and forth is a pain, and sometimes I do want to copy within the editor window (although I’ll give this part up if needed).

  Does anyone else have this problem and are there any suggestions on a solution? …greasemonkey, another (excellent) extension, etc.? Also, I assume the editor in an i-frame? I have AC set to not copy from text boxes.
