auto e-mail reply to comments/commenters

  Is there any way to have an e-mail (designed by the blog owner) automatically sent to commenters in response to their comment? (I have my blog set to require commenters to enter an e-mail address.) I’ve searched the FAQs and forums and assume the answer is no, but since the [incredibly responsive] expert members (vivianpaige, panaghiotisadam, rosclarke, tsp, et al.) always seem to know some trick, I thought that I would ask!

  I don’t think there’s any trick yet; however, you can use Gmail’s (if you use Gmail) canned response feature to quickly acknowledge your blog commenters.
