Auto-Format Imported Posts

  Hi all,
  We are bringing over posts from another WP site, the issue is the posts are formatted all differently. My question is there a way to format the text/links/etc. in the post as I am importing? instead of having to go into each post after they are imported? There is over 1,000 posts we need to move over, and have a base style guide would be awesome.

  Hi there,

  An import will import all posts exactly as-is, so they’ll still have the same formatting that they had on the site from which they were exported. It’s not possible to modify content during an import.

  It might be possible to make changes to the formatting by running search-and-replace actions on the .xml file itself in a text editing program, but if you do that be careful not to modify the file structure itself, as that would cause any attempt to import the modified file to fail.
