Auto-generated links to other blogs

  At the top of my blog comments, there are links to “possibly related posts (automatically generated)” and this sends readers to other WordPress blogs. I pay $30 a year to be ad-free, and this is like ads to other blogs, as far as I am concerned. Is there a way to stop this? Thanks.

  You can turn those off by selecting “Hide related links” from Appearance -> Extras in your Dashboard.

  Thanks, but that’s not the solution. I went there, and there are only two possible things to check or uncheck. One has to do with displaying a mobile theme. That’s not it.
  The only other thing says “Hide related links on this blog, etc.” And it was already unchecked. Any other ideas? Thanks.

  Yes, you’ll need to check it to hide the links.

  You want to CHECK the “Hide Related..” box – that should turn the links off.

  Ahhhhh, silly me. I thank you all for the clarification. I switched to WordPress this month after six years at Blogger. WordPress has so many bells and whistles that I am left reeling at times. But all in all, it’s better than the competition.

  I finally turned them off. The links were broken half the time, not even remotely related, or linked to a 1 post blog from 2008.
