Auto-Post generators from Social Media accts

    Hi there!

    I am a bit overwhelmed with the amount of resources out there for WordPress.com integration and support.

    I was wondering if you can make recommendations on WordPress.com plugins for the following:

    1. If I Pin something on my Pinterest account, how can I have it automatically posted onto my WordPress.com website?
    2. If I make or Share a Post on my Linkedin account, how can I have it automatically posted onto my WordPress.com website?
    3. If I make a Post on my Instagram account, how can I have it automatically posted onto my WordPress.com website?

    Hi Sam,

    Please note that in order for a plugin with the functionality you’re describing to work on WordPress.com you first need to upgrade to the Business plan as this is the only plan that allows the installation of plugins.

    @Staff May I suggest some alternatives other than a plugin for this with companies not associated with Automattic?

    @samluong89     So there’s a lot of programmes I’ve tried myself to do things similar to that, and my best recommendation is Zapier. Their pricing is quite reasonable, it’s free but there’s a fifteen minute delay and you only have a certain (but large amount) of uses. I’d suggest making an account and using the following zaps, the set up process is quite self explanatory because there’s instructions at each stage, but if you need any help, come back to me here.

    You’ll need to create a Zap for that. Use a similar action and make the trigger “New Post” under WordPress.com. https://zapier.com/sign-up?selected_apis=LinkedInDevAPI&next=%2Fapps%2Fcreate%2FLinkedInDevAPI

    3. If I make a Post on my Instagram account, how can I have it automatically posted onto my WordPress.com website?

    If you’re worried about giving access to your blog, you might want to consider creating Zaps for each of the things but making it send an email, and then using your Post by Email address to post. https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-email/
