  Hello – You can turn off automatic renewal for your domain name or plan by choosing the option to cancel on the Purchase page.

  On that page is one button that says “upgrade now” Do I need to click that in order to shut off auto renewal?

  Did you purchase your domain at a company other than WordPress? If so, you’ll need to turn off automatic renewal on that company’s website. :)

  I’ve had the website for several years. Godaddy has been on automatic renewal, the wordpress domain mapping has not. This is the first year after I renewed that I was informed I was now on automatic renewal.
