Auto save not working

Today I lost my edits second time. When I left WP to check something on another tab, my edits disappeared. I think that automatic saving is not working. This happened now on iPad. Earlier on Mac. Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong?

@zeynel1 sorry to hear that. I’ve got a few questions:
– Are you able to find any post revisions?
– Can you let us know which editor you’re using? We’ve got a few right now: our apps, wordpress.com classic, wordpress.com’s new editor, or wp-admin for example. If you’ll send the address of your edit page that will help.
– Also, is there any chance you’ve got the same post open in editors on more than one browser or device?
I’ve seen cases where someone will have a new, blank post open on one device, and they’ll be typing in another. And the blank one overwrites the real one. If there’s any chance you’ve got multiple instances of our editors open, please be sure to close out all but the one you’re actually working in.

@supernovia thanks. I believe that you are right. I suspect the same post was open on another device. I don’t remember now which editor I was using.
I tried now with the old editor and auto save works fine.
I also tried with the new editor, noting if it would save automatically, but it did not. I wrote several paragraphs without auto save kicking in. Finally I switched to HTML view and the “Saved” changed to “Save Draft” and when I clicked on it, it saved.
I don’t know if this is how it supposed to work.
