Auto-scheduling or queueing
-
I’d love to be able to auto-schedule or queue posts in advance, as you can do with Tumblr, or Buffer for Twitter, Facebook, etc.
That way, I could write a mess of posts on the weekend and then have WordPress automatically space them out during the week, without my having to worry about scheduling a time and date for each.
I’d say this would be a popular feature, based on the popularity of Buffer and the persistence of the feature in Tumblr.
Is this in the pipeline?

That has been feature here for years see http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/schedule-a-post/
NOTE: Scheduled posts do not publish until the first visitor to the site after the date and time scheduled clicks in and triggers publication of the post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/schedule-a-post/#troubleshooting-scheduled-posts -
Right, but you still have to manually set the time and date the post will go live.
With Buffer or Tumblr, you just preconfigure time slots in advance and then when you queue a post, the post goes live in the next available timeslot.
