  this new “automattic.com” autoediting function is annoying. it destroys the layout of poems and produces results like this http://lyrikzeitung.com/2014/08/19/61-gestorben-2/ (below)

  Hello there! I’m not entirely certain of the difference between the formatting you wish to see, versus the formatting that you are seeing.

  However, I do wonder if working in the classic editor would help out.

  Click: https://lyrikzeitung.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

  Then, Posts → All Posts. Open up the Post you wish to re-format, make the appropriate changes, and then save your changes.

  it should be 2 couplets, but your system makes single lines, and no way to make it look like it should. and I have a site of over 10.000 entries. whenever I want to add a small change I risk destroying the whole layout.

  refers to tagging, too. I have thousands of tags; but when I want to modify an entry, systems gives tags that don’t fit my system, and I have to remove every single one.

  maybe your editor is fine for people starting a small blog, but for me
  it is a terrible deterioration and takes my time – every day.

  Thanks for the explanation.

  Can you tell me: Do you copy and paste from a word processing program into the editor? I suspect, if this is the case, it is the reason your formatting isn’t appearing correctly.
