Autofocus homepage feed

    Hello, I love the minimalist look on Altofocus and I want my homepage to be a classic scrolling feed of my latest posts-currently when I add a new post it turns into a gallery of outlined squares with post title inside. I don’t want a static homepage and I can’t seem to find a way to change this or any forum questions about customizing. I’m sure this is an easy fix but I’m at a loss…

    Do you mean you would like to enable infinite scrolling on your site?

    If yes, normally, that’s something you can activate here under ‘Theme enhancements’: https://wordpress.com/settings/writing/ as long as you have no widgets active in your footer.

    However, there seems to be a bug with the AltoFocus theme that’s preventing infinite scrolling from being enabled. This thread has posts discussing it: https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/altofocus-older-posts-button-now-disappears/

    Staff has already opened a bug report for it, which you can follow at https://github.com/Automattic/themes/issues/2345

    Thank you for the message! This may be my issue but I’m not necessarily looking for an infinite scroll, rather I want my posts to appear in full text on the main page, just like a classic writer’s blog might. If only two or three posts show in full that’s fine as long as the reader can then click on the next page, but as of now my posts are represented like images in boxes with just the title text displaying. You can then click on the box and go to the post on it’s own page.

    I’m coming from Squarespace where I would know how to deal with this issue but on WordPress I can’t seem to find any solution to this. Nor does it clearly state that this theme doesn’t support a text feed on the homepage. I’m guessing it is a theme issue but since I love this layout so far I thought I’d see if there’s a chance I’m missing something before I switch themes.

    Any thoughts would be so appreciated!

    Hi there,

    I want my posts to appear in full text on the main page, just like a classic writer’s blog might…as of now my posts are represented like images in boxes with just the title text displaying. You can then click on the box and go to the post on it’s own page.

    The Altofocus theme you’re currently using is aimed at artists and photographers, not writers, so this theme is designed to display post as thumbnail images in a grid-like layout, with only the post title visible.

    If you want your posts to appear in full, this theme won’t work for you.
