AutoLink or Plugin

  Hi,

  I’m looking for a way to generate automatic links in my blogposts similar to what the AutoLinker Plugin can do (http://vip.wordpress.com/plugins/seo-auto-linker/). Do I have a chance to integrate this on my wordpress.com hosted blog?

  Third party plugins cannot be installed on WordPress.com sites. This is a security risk as we cannot vet all outside code and it puts our users, their sites, and our servers at risk.

  Plugins are only usable on self-hosted WordPress.org sites.

  I know the difference between .com and .org can get confusing, so here’s a breakdown of the benefits of each:

  Hi,

  thanks for your answer. I shoot for wordpress.com and not .org because I like the managed services :-)

  For your question: I have a couple of words in my blog article I want to add a link to websites automatically, e.g. product names, company names, ….. Can I achieve this in a wordpress.com blog?

  Hiya Dirk,

  Robyn has been out of the office for the last few days, so I’m going through some of her tickets.

  Oooo, I’m afraid that isn’t something which we have really implemented quite the way you described. We DO have something in place where our system will automatically create links for any complete URLs that you might enter (such as typing in wordpress.com will create a hyperlink to that site, where just typing wordpress will not).
