Automagically displaying a linked page…

Ok – now that I got your attention… I’ve been looking through this forum and Google for an answer to this question.

Is it possible to create a page on WordPress.com (that shows up as a tab), and when you click on it – it displays the contents of that linked page without you having to read and click on the linked text?

Basically I want to have a tab that says “Training” when the user selects it, WordPress opens that page and the contents of the link associated with that page opens directly to it.

So, here’s the current flow:

Click to Training Tab, Click on Training Link, Page opens to linked page.

What I want:

Click to training Tab, Page opens to linked page.

So in the end it looks like the training page is hosted locally.

Inquiring minds would like to know…

Thanks…

Sounds to me like you’re in the wrong forum. Can we get a direct link to your blog, starting with http?

@cshunters: If I understand correctly, you just have to put the link to the external page in the title box of your page. The only problem is that the name you give it can’t be “Training” – has to be at least two words.

Not sure what this is in the wrong forum… I needed top pose a question… So I went to the Question section.

anywho…

pana -I tried that and it did not work. What I got was a tab that had the URL in it. Clicking on it gave me a page with nothing on it.

If you’re talking about this blog
http://cshunters.wordpress.com/
then you’re not in the wrong forum.

And if you’re talking about this blog, either write and publish that page again so I can see what you’re doing wrong, or give me the address you want to link to.

(By the way, your “Posts” page is not a functional one, either.)

No it’s this one…

http://crew93.wordpress.com Note: the whole site is a work in progress…

When you click on the training tab I want it to automagically open to the the link that is the target of “Venturing Training…..” contained on the page.

Paga – thanks for thinking about this… It’s a small issue but it’s a nagging one for me.

Well it’s as I said. You go to Manage>Pages, click “Training”, and put this in its title box:
Venturing Training
