Automagically transported to 2007 version of page

  Thought I’d make a minor tweek to my About page. Clicked on the edit button and what should open but a much, much older version of the page. Dated 2007, to be precise. I’m given the option of choosing one of 25 revisions, but I don’t want to open a revision. I just want to remove a single comma from the current page. I don’t know what’s going on. I cleared the cache and restarted the computer, but the 2007 version keeps popping up. How do I open and edit the current version?
  This is happening on a Mac with both Chrome and Firefox. I’m baffled.

  I don’t know how or why the above happened. But I finally decided to try restoring my last revision and it seemed to fix the problem.
