Automate title to be publish time and date
-
Hiya chaps.
I’ve just moved a blog here to WordPress from Blogger. Mostly I’m loving it – they were all right about how much better it is.
There is one thing though – with Blogger if I left a title blank it would list the dates and times in the archive list. Is there a way to make this happen in WordPress? I really want not to have specific titles for the posts, but the archive listing them by ID number isnt’ very helpful.
I have found that I can use a PostSlug (?) but was really hoping to find a way that it would automatically do this.
Thanks in advance.

Not with the version of wordpress that we have here at wp.com although you could probably do something like that with regular wordpress from http://wordpress.org and your own host.
With wordpress.com, it will just leave it blank.
Feel free to submit a feedback from the upper right of your dashboard and suggest this though as a possible future feature. Staff has said many times over they they actually pay attention to what comes through there.
Post slug is what appears within the URL for a specific post after the year-month-date portion of the URL.
Hope this helps,

OK – Thanks drmike.
I just had thought I might be able to customise the archives slightly more than I can.
Ne’mind though – I will suggest it in the feedback, Thanks again.
