Automated new user email

    I have an e-magazine I would like to make available to new subscribers to my blog (which goes live in January 2015). When a new reader signs up they get an email asking to confirm they registered. That bit’s fine. What I would like to do is be able to automate a second email once the registration is confirmed, which would include a link so the new user can have access to download the e-magazine. I’ve seen this done on blogs I’ve subscribed to myself, so can I set that up on WP? Thanks.

    There’s no way to do this on WordPress.com. You could set up a separate mailing list using MailChimp or something similar.

    If this is a necessary part of your site, you may want to move to a self hosted WordPress. You could then install a plugin that would make this more integrated than it is here on WordPress.com.
