Automatic appearance of permalinks at the bottom of each post

I would like to have a permalink added automatically at the bottom of each post. I can’t seem to find a widget with which I can accomplish this. The theme I am using is Quentin by Mike Purdy.

    My blog is http://daylabordenver.wordpress.com/

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No automatic way to do that. You will have to do it manually for each post.

Thanks for the feedback TSP. Does that mean everybody on WordPress who has permalinks always takes some manual step to provide a clickable permalink?

Or is there something I’m missing in how, if I were to change something, I could get auto-generated permalinks.

Are you talking about a link to that blog post? The title is clickable to the permalink. If you are talking about adding a link to some other post or site at the bottom of every post then YES, that’s added by hand to each post.

To what, exactly, do you want to link?

I was looking for a permalink to the current post, automagically placed at the bottom of each blog post, with the word “permalink” over it. It appears that this is not possible in WordPress.

However, thanks for informing me that the title of each blog post contains the clickable permalink. That doesn’t make it quite as explicit as the work “permalink” at the bottom of each post — but it is reliably present once a reader gets to know the ins and outs of a WordPress blog.

Your “recent posts” widget will easily allow your readers to see several of— well, your most recent of—recent posts.
To see your very most recent post, all they have to do is to click on the top link of that widget in your sidebar.
