Automatic comments from email to a post
-
Is there any way (of modifying wordpress) that after enabling the option to post from an email (list) to blog, then to comment directly from replying to this email sent to the mail list, and to be posted automatically as a comment under the published post with the same title post?

I’m not sure where the “list” part comes in, but “comment reply by email” does exactly that.

members that send emails to the list, their emails can be posted directly to the blog via the option post via email.
in addittion, i want that replies to this email from other members of the mail list, can be posted as comments to this post directly from their email reply.
so i just want to add or edit a line code that can filter the input from the email, 1- as post , 2- as a comment to the respective post title.
Thank you for your attention!

I am not clear about what you are asking and this word “list” is a puzzling one.
1. If you think you can use a wordpress.com blog to set up an email marketing service then you can’t.
2. If you think you can use a wordpress.com blog to be set up to create posts with autoposted content from anywhere else then that’s not allowed.
If neither 1 or 2 are not what you mean please post again and be very clear about what kind of a blog you want to create and what purpose you intend it to serve, then we will work from there.

Discussion Settings are used to control how visitors and other blogs interact with a blog. The default setting on WordPress.com blogs is open comments on all posts and pages. Dashboard > Settings > Discussion

1 – no, it’s not for marketing purpose.
2 – i thought to connect a group (for student’s discussion purpose) , directly to the blog, with the permission of all the members that post to this group. that’s all.
we can do it manually, but we thought if it were possible to do it automatically.Thank you very much for your enlightenment! Appreciate it.

If I understand you right, you want people to be able to post by email and comment by email. Under settings discussion turn on comment reply via email. To set up post by email go to tools post by email you will have to go to my blogs from that page. Then you would want to give that email address to everyone you want to post to your blog and subscribe everyone to the blog. If I am wrong on any of this please someone correct me.

Yes, but he also seemed to want people to be able to post by email, and I was telling him how to do that.

Here’s the link to the post by email entry in the support documentation http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-email/
I have the same hunch as raincoaster. I think he may really want a listserv.
