Automatic Enrollment in Comment Subscriptions
-
When commenting on my own site, I am automatically enrolled in comment subscriptions, regardless of whether the checkbox is clicked or not. I have not been able to verify if this happens to non-admin users, but this is definitely sub-optimal.

Are you sure that they are HTML-formatted comment subscription emails and not the moderation emails sent to the blog admin with moderation controls, like Delete, Edit, Spam, etc?
-
I am sure. They have the pretty blue-and-grey borders top and bottom, the “Want less email? Modify your Subscription Options.” link at the end, and so forth. More interestingly, they are coming to my WordPress email address, not my site’s admin account’s email address (which is still receiving the blog admin emails you mention).

Nope. In fact, the email address they are being sent to occurs nowhere on my blog, so far as I can determine.

Hi monsieurlinoge, this bug should now be fixed. Just let us know if you’re still receiving these notifications and we’ll investigate further.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

It tentatively seems corrected :).
Glad to hear it.
Was it something I did at my end?
No, it was nothing you did at your end – it was a glitch at ours.
