automatic excerpt/summary of posts

  How do I show only summaries of the posts on a front page instead of full texts? I heard automatic excerpt or teaser are different from manual excerpt. My posts start with a picture and I want to include a picture on each summary. I tried to do manual excerpt but I couldn’t include picture. How do I set up for automatic excerpt or teaser on wordpress.com?

  Hey there!

  My suggestion is to use the More tag, rather than the excerpt field.
