Automatic featured image

Hi all,
i’m using ifttt service to create new pages with Nasa image of the day. But i would like to figure out how to put the image “inside” the post automatically as a featured image.
I’m using Lodestar free template.

Hi cic2cic,
Some themes will make the first image in a post the feaured image automatically. Your current theme, Lodestar, doesn’t do that.
I had a quick look and these two themes will do it, but I am not sure if there are more.

To turn on the feature, go to Customizer > Content Options and make sure ‘Automatically use first image in post‘ is selected. Then the next time when ifttt creates a post, the first image is set as the featured image.

I saw those templates, and i decided to test radcliff-2, i suppose this will work for new posts and about the old ones i have to set manually them up.i’ll write how is going

I tested Radcliff 2 with ifttt and instagram and it work on new posts, so it should work better for you from tomorrow. As for the older posts, yes, I believe you will have to do them manually.

First of all: it did that job for me already!
now all my old posts, with an image inside, have a featured images.but now i have to fix ifttt settings, for too long titles…
