automatic featured image on posts

    How could first image within a post be considered as featured image for that post? (The idea is to provide a beautiful main page, and to use image feature of /posts block.)
    Some themes do exactly that. Thanks for your help,

    It is true that some themes (especially older ones) will try to set a “feature image” automatically, it’s not as common these days. One thing to bear in mind is that setting a Featured Image within the post settings will add the image to the source code so it is correctly identified by social media sites, messaging services, and is even shared with search engines.

    We don’t have a search filter to show themes that do automated feature images so we’re not able to direct you further but you may wish to check out some of our classic themes, which may clarify in the theme description if there is any automation around feature images.

    Also if you discover a 3rd party theme “designed for WordPress” that offers this functionality, it’s not possible to add it to our free sites, but 3rd party themes can be uploaded by upgrading to our Business Plan
