Automatic Links, in articles
-
We use WP to power our newspaper.com website. Currently there are close to 26k posts and still going strong. I’d like to impliment an automatic linking plugin/tool that would search for predefined words and link them to predefined url’s/landing pages.
I’ve purchased WP Affiliate Elite, but the link location is just a redirect from links.php, which is zero help for SEO.
I just found, installed and like SEO Smart Links (by Vladimir Prelovac) and it works well. I found a few instances where it’s not converting the words to links and wish the admin area were easier to search, sort and control. But I’ve been reading that they are memory hogs and can crash servers.I’m curious if anyone has had any experience with this and what you’ve found. The last thing I want to do is crash the site. There could be (eventually) hundreds if not thousands of keywords to look out for, so an import/export feature would be amazing.
Thanks in advance!

There is no FTP access to wordpress.COM blogs do NOT have plugins. It sounds like you are referring to a wordpress.ORG blog to me. If that’s the case the forum for self-hosting bloggers is here http://wordpress.ORG/support/
