Automatic Menu
-
I am certain this has been asked before but for the life of me I can not find it. I have looked through many pages of search results with no luck.
I am wondering how to have my main menu populated automatically based on categories and have sub-menus based on sub categories. Even if I could find out how to do this with pages would be helpful but I really need it for general categories. With over a few hundred posts (and more all the time) and many categories/subcategories it would be great if I can structure this such that a new post will automatically show up on the menu without me having to manually add it.
Again, I am certain this is somewhere, if someone could point me in the right direction that would be great.
Thank you for your time,
Ian Anderson

Hi there!
I’m afraid that your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with Bluehost.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here:
You can look for help at the community forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
http://wordpress.org/support/ is also a great resource for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software.
