automatic pinomatic working no manual technorati ping required
-
This is a good news report. After 5 weeks of manually pinging technorati I have noticed over the course of the past few days that pingomatic is working like a hot damn. By the time I get to technorati’s ping site by blogs have already been recorded as updated.:D
-
That is good to hear.
Where di you hear it though? I could have sworn we already had this feature though. :)
-
Yeah sure we technically already had this feature (pingomatic) but I noticed it took days to actually manifest any sign of updating at the technorati end. Now it’s zing-boom done by the time I go to technorati to manually ping them.:D

I can’t believe how quickly the pings go through. I post and check at technorati and it says updated 9 minutes ago. WOW! That’s great service.

Weblogs maybe? I haven’t noticed anything about them. I’ve seen inbounds from them in the past but nothing recently. With Pingomatic having teh issues that it appears to have had recently, that might be why though. You can ping it manually if you feel the need though.
Granted it is Verisign now and some of us know how bad they’ve f*cough*ed up the internet…

I just pinged Pingomatic manually and the ONLY place they sent the ping to was Weblogs.com. THIS IS TRAGIC.
I’m manually pinging Pingoat.com with every post from now on. Got to play it safe.

This is really bizarre. It works for you (and for a friend of mine down the street) but at my office, on multiple computers, multiple browsers, it redirects to some spanish-language entertainment site. It doesn’t appear to be a spyware issue. Maybe it’s something weird with my IT dept’s web filtering. Sorry for the false alarm.

That is bizarre – I looked a few minutes and saw no problem either.
Blame your IT dept – we get blamed for everything!
