automatic renewal for failure for upgrade on your blog

    I received this email on July 3: ‘Domain Mapping on your blog wild resiliency blog! is about to expire. This upgrade replaces your site’s default address of ‘wildresiliencyblog.wordpress.com’ with the custom domain ‘wildresiliencyblog.com’.

    Domain Mapping costs $13.00, and it is set to expire on August 3, 2016. If this upgrade expires, your site will no longer be available at ‘wildresiliencyblog.com’.’ I can find no receipt history for this service or anyway to renew it online. Also, my credit card is current. I’m also very confused by the ‘plans’ available and do not know where this ‘domain mapping’ lies within any of those plans, nor where my Askimet pro-blogger plan lies. Nor have I figured out how to contact billing support directly. Help appreciated!

    Hi there,

    I would be happy to assist you in assisting you with your subscription. However, the problem you are running into is that upgrade that was purchased is not associated with the account you contacted us from. To confirm ownership, post in this thread under the username/account that purchased the upgrade. Then, I can look into the subscription upgrade. However, you should be able to renew the domain if logged into the account that owns the upgrade.

    My confusion apparently runs deeper than I suspected!

    OK, so I have two wp.com user accounts—for unknown reasons. I’ve not figured how to post into this thread from the account receiving the expiring notice email, however the email is (email visible only to moderators and staff) and wp user name is jacklarry.

    All three of my wp installation web sites are listed in both wp.com accounts. I was successful in logging into the jacklarry account and so am able to make payment. However, do I really need to?

    I’m thinking this is an upgrade made when I originally hosted @ wp.com. The domain name in question, wildresiliencyblog.com is now registered elsewhere and hosted under wp.org.

    Is it possible to join these two accounts? Might you advise killing the jacklarry account? Thanks for any advice Darnell!

    Well, there is currently nothing under the larryg account but the http://wildresiliency.com/ blog that is connected via JetPack. Everything else is under your jacklarry account. I would connect wildresiliency.com to your jacklarry account via JetPack so that everything is under one account. Also, I wouldn’t deactivate your other account just in case you want to use it in the future.

    You’ll need to disconnect JetPack from the larryg account before connecting it to your jacklarry account. Let me know if you need any assistance with that.
