Automatic renewal via PayPal

  I have moved countries and in order to change my PayPal account to my new country of residence I had to close my old PayPal account (which is deleted) and then opened a new PayPal account under the same email address but with new country details. As my email address has not changed, I assumed there would be no need to update anything in WordPress regarding my subscriptions; however PayPal sent me the following email:
  <This email confirms that you have cancelled your billing agreement with WordPress.com. No further payments will be made from your PayPal account to this merchant. If you have any further questions about the agreement, or wish to reinstate it, please contact WordPress.com directly.>
  I cannot find any way to update WordPress PayPal billing information for automatic renewal. Is there anything I need to do?

  For security reasons, we don’t have access to credit card information.

  By default, we use the same credit card you used when you first purchased the upgrade.

  To update your credit card information, go to Store > My Upgrades in your dashboard, find the upgrade in question, and click on Update Credit Card.

  If the credit card expires or if there are any issues with charging your account, we’ll alert you by email.

  Thanks. How does this relate to PayPal? I have linked my credit card and bank details to my PayPal account. I paid for my WordPress upgrades through PayPal, not a credit card.

  I see. Please go to https://bodyresonance.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=my-upgrades and https://bodyresonancede.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=my-upgrades and click on the ‘Disable auto-renew’. This allows you to use new payment information once you renew the upgrade. You’ll be automatically notified prior to the expiration date of your upgrade.

  After that you can enable auto-renew again :)
