Automatic Scheduling/Post Queuing

Hello fellow bloggers and members of the site staff,

First of all, I would like to mention that I made a general search for the topic and found none completely relevant to my suggestion. I am aware of wordpress’ ability to “schedule” a post so no need to explain how or where to do that. The idea that comes to my mind is a little more automatic. Currently, the process for queuing posts is a little too… the words “manual”, “hidden” and “unpractical” come to mind.

If I could have it so that somehow I have a “queue” that would automatically post one of the queued posts at a certain interval of time, that would be great. For example, let’s say I have these three posts in the queue: “Red Elephants in Hawaii?” “The truth behind iron.” and “Danger and Death.” The queue is set to a 12 hour interval, as of 3PM on Monday.

At 3AM Tuesday “Red Elephants in Hawaii?” is automatically posted.
At 3PM Tuesday “The truth behind iron.” is automatically posted.
At 3AM Wednesday “Danger and Death is posted.”

and so on, but as these posts are being made automatically, let’s say I’ve added three more posts to the queue, so that means it’ll keep updating the blog every 12 hours. If the queue also has the functionality to move a post up or down on the list, that would also be helpful. To also add to the practicality, along with the “Publish” and “Preview” buttons in the New Post page, there should be an “Add to Queue” button so you don’t have to worry about adjusting the time yourself.

I know it seems like a hassle and you can do this manually, but if this feature is automated as described, it would be useful. I know I’d put it to good use.

That is all. Thanks for reading. :]
