Automatic trackbacks down?

  I posted a link to a previous page in my own blog, and no trackback appeared. Are they down? Thanks.

  This being said, check your spam folder in your comments (just in case).

  In addition to what airodyssey has said sometimes pingbacks are delayed. I experience this quite often, but as I’m one of those who rarely approves self-pings and deletes almost all of them I don’t fret about it. I suggest that you watch and wait because I do believe the self-pings will show up in time.

  They didn’t show up, so I think something did break. Self-pings are very useful for a number of reasons, especially for well SEO optimized posts that contain arguments building over time. Someone who comes in on a search and likes a post will often follow the trackbacks to more recent updates – it’s very handy.

  You will have to contact Staff. Here’s the link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ After you use the searchbox at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.
