Automatic Tweets

I’ve been trying to turn off automatic tweets from my WordPress site to Twitter. It’s something that my site has had in place since the start. The unfortunate thing is that I did not start the site. It’s been passed down to me through several editors so I don’t see a Sharing option under the Settings tab like most people do. I’m just trying to figure out how I can gain access to the original WordPress login when the person who started the site is not easy to get in touch with/doesn’t respond to emails.

    Any help is appreciated.

If that other person set up the site on WordPressdotcom and did not transfer ownership to someone else’s WPcom account, then there’s really not much you can do. If you do manage to reach them, ask them to transfer ownership following these directions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

But it might not be necessary depending on your user role. Do you know what it is?

Another possibility might be removing the connection at the Twitter end under Settings>Apps
