Automatic Updates on WordPress.com hosting

Hi, I was wondering if there is an option for sites hosted on wordpress.com to have plugins, themes and WordPress itself automatically updated.

I know there are a couple of ways to do this if I was to host the site outside of WordPress.com but I want to know if it’s possible on wordpress.com.

    Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPress.com is a customized version of the wordpress software that is regularly updated behind the scenes automatically for you. I don’t think themes here are updated as such (apart from security issues) but eventually when they get old/outdated they do get retired/replaced. To use extra plugins or themes beyond the standard ones here at WordPress.com would require you to upgrade to the Business plan.

    Thanks for answering.

So if I was upgrade to the Business plan and install some extra plugins (that are not the standard WordPress.com plugins) would I need to manually update them?
Or is there some feature to automatically update the plugins for me?
