automatic upgrade

I have a wordpress.com blog set up by a consultant. I am trying to continue it by myself. The whole upgrade and .com vs. org wordrpress issue is baffling. Do I need to do anything to keep updated to the latest version? I do not see any links to upgrade. I do not see anything that says “automatic upgrade”. I do not even see where I can find out what version I am “on”I. I am pretty computer-literate but this aspect of the site is pretty confusing. Thanks

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you are on WordPress.COM then pay no attention to “upgrade (WP version numbers), automatic upgrade, version number” – that is all done for you by the folks at WordPress.COM.

    .COM vs/ .ORG: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Unless you have some sort of upgrade (storage space, CSS style, audio, etc) not much to worry about and you just need to make the Posts – pretty much like basic Word Processing if you keep the formatting simple.

    Feel safer?? :)

Very safe yes! I also had another post about news article uploading and also curious whether the “logo” you see my user name can be changed. Thanks in any case.

Yes, it can. Go to your Dashboard, Users, Your Profile and upload an Avatar there. It’s also called a Gravatar. For some reason, geeks just can’t have enough different names for the same thing.
