Automatically creating a playlist
-
I’m using the Uploader – Advance Media Sharing Theme. Basically the goal is to allows independent artist to share their music with others. The theme doesn’t create playlist automatically when users upload more than one song. I’m wondering if there is a plugin or code that I can use to accomplish my goal.
Any help would be appreciated
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Plugins are tools used to extend the functionality of the WordPress platform. However, they are only applicable to self-hosted blogs and web sites using the WordPress.org software. Plugins are not permitted here at WordPress.com for various security reasons.
If you have any upgrade plan, you can add audio to your website. In order to create a playlist, you can follow this guide, but it is not automatic. https://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/#audio-playlists
I’ve also tagged this for Staff input as the support guide mentions that the playlist is available only on premium and business upgrades, but perhaps that support guide needs to be updated since the personal plan now includes audio uploads.

I’m sorry I didn’t provide enough detail. The site I am building a new site that is hosted on Go Daddy. If you click on the audio post that’s current there, you would see that it has 14 songs. The theme I am using claims that posts in this scenario would automatically be put in a playlist format. If I were the only one creating post I could create the playlist, no problem. But since the users are going be the one creating post this needs to be done automatically.
I’m not sure if this is the correct place for this question, any help would be appreciated
The website is http://themusicstateofmind.com/.

Hi @aviand78, these forums are for the sites hosted at WordPress.com instead of GoDaddy or some other host. But you can find the forums for your own installations at https://wordpress.org/support . I hope that helps! This article might help as well: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

@aviand78 – yes, always best to mention the site you need help with. That way I could have pointed you to the ORG support forums straight away. No worries and good luck!
@supernovia – nonetheless, could you address my question about the playlist widget for audio being available only to the premium and business upgrades in spite of audio uploads being available also in the personal plan upgrade? TIA!

Ah, sorry I missed that question, @justjennifer. Looks like part of that document hadn’t been updated. Fixed!

Sorry, @supernovia, perhaps I linked to the wrong section. I meant the audio playlist widget at https://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/#embedding-the-playlist-into-your-sidebar
It currently says,
The Music Player widget is only available to WordPress.com Premium or Business subscribers, but it’s a great way to add your playlist to the sidebar
Thanks again (sorry!)

Thanks @gemmacevans – thanks for confirming that the widget is available to Personal plan subscribers as well. :)
