Automatically generated posts

At the bottom of one of my articles this appeared:
Possibly related posts: (automatically generated)
* Brains v beauty: What’s best?
The last line is a link which I followed. It had nothing to do with my article, and also had a political ad on that site. I don’t wish to be referring anyone to a political ad for anyone. How can I remove it, please:
Thanks,

Here is how to get rid of them

You cannot remove particular links from the feature. Disabling the option from Design -> Extras will remove all automatically generated content from your blog.
-
However, if you do find one of the links to be spam, please let us know so that we can investigate accordingly.

Thanks for your help. I find the addition has been removed, but I didn’t change anything. Under Design-Extras I found this UNCHECKED: Hide related links on this blog, which means this blog won’t show up on other blogs or get traffic that way.
If that is checked will that not happen again? Also, does that mean no one can add a link to my blog? That happens often. Right now there is a link to a site that is related – I wouldn’t want to stop that as I am writing these articles to share what I have learned. Am I caught between a rock and a hard place?
Thanks again,

You cannot prevent external sites from linking to you. This will not effect that.
Checking that box will merely remove your blog from the automatically generated Possibly Related Posts system, and those extra links won’t show on your blog.
-
And no, you can’t cherry-pick the links you want to keep. The ONLY way to do that is to put the links into your post by hand.

Thanks, raincoaster, for your help. I’m still learning about blogs and find I know less than I have yet to learn….lol
